For a moment, forget everything you have learned.
Forget your name, your history, and your beliefs.
Take a rest from identifying with your story.
You do not need it here.
It will be there when you need it.
Right now, for the sake of awakening, take a break from your story.
Take a break from who you think you are.
Allow the mind to rest.
Allow the mind to be still for a moment.
In this moment you have the opportunity to directly know yourself.
When we suspend thought, what is always present?
Is there awareness when there is no thought?
What is aware of the awareness?
And each time we take a moment and allow the mind to rest we can see if the awareness has changed. When we are sick or healthy, happy or sad, has the awareness changed?
